ABOUT NØRD FILM COMPANY
NØRD was established by combining the words North and Nerd. The word North was specifically chosen because of the geographical location of Norway, which is situated up North, and it is also the birthplace of our Director, Knut Aage Dahl. In Norwegian, North is translated to NORD, which adds a unique cultural element to the name. Meanwhile, Nerd reflects our team's passionate interest in all things related to video creation and various video gear. The letter O spins around like a compass, symbolically pointing towards the direction of Norway from our base in the UK, and ends up forming the distinctive Norwegian letter Ø. Therefore, the Norwegian term NØRD is pronounced as NERD in English. Ultimately, combining NORD (North) with NERD results in the memorable name NØRD, which we proudly pronounce NERD in English.

Knut Aage Dahl
Norwegian videographer and photographer Knut Aage Dahl has a passion for merging his technical expertise with a creative vision, crafting emotive videos that effectively convey the clients message. His storytelling, musicality, and photography, has garnered acclaim both globally and in London. Coming from a career in both healthcare and sales, his foundation will always be rooted in great customer service and hard work, as he believes these principles are essential for achieving success and creating positive relationships. Having great success as a camera gear salesman in Norway, he chose to pursue love and a career in Videography in the UK. He quit and sold all he owned, and moved over to what is now his fiancé and mother of two wonderful children, Hannah Couzens. Together, they embrace all that life has to offer while passionately pursuing their creative endeavors in both videography and photography.
Hannah Couzens
Hannah is a professional award winning portrait photographer, presenter, speaker and producer. Having worked on both sides of the lens, she understands exactly how it is to present on camera. Her photography education has seen her speak and present internationally over the past 15 years.
Her organisational and personal skills ensure that every shoot runs smoothly and she’ll coach anybody through for a great delivery on camera.
